Tar and Paint Sludge Drying
Based on its working principle, the CFT dryer is able to handle liquid, semi-solid or solid feedstock. Therefore, also nasty materials like paint sludge, tar sludge and contaminated soils can be treated using the CFT. The paint sludge originates from several industries, where products are spray-painted. The tar sludge is coming from waste disposal sites with sludge basins.
The sludge can contain sewage sludge as well as organic components such as tar oil solids and carbon dust slurries like phenols, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes, which are hazardous to the environment. Plants based on CFT may treat these sludges from the basins and process them to solid fuel pellets.
